Dot IT Domain Name Registrations

Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-code domain name extension is very popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for building inventive and catchy domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-memorize domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to go back to your website or to share it with coworkers and pals. The domain name extension can also be used for a website, which is linked to the information sector having in mind that IT is an abbreviation, which is well-known worldwide.

Because dot IT domains are not sold directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that supervises this top-level domain extension, such a domain can be booked through a 3rd-party service provider, such as ours. We will handle the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry organization. You can purchase a dot IT domain for a period of one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. The only prerequisite is that the person registering such a domain ought to be situated in a country, which is a member of the EU.

Since there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of various areas and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any sort are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such third-level domains, though, given that they can be registered only by locals.
